techrepublic weighs in on Zoho

here

im not sure its features or security that will cause any new start-up service to ” beat ” MSFT i think that as the baby-boomer generation ages and retires the new gurus will want all employees to contribute innovation rather than leaving that to a few geeks or gurus,

they will no longer hire ” best of breed ” for astronomical salaries and let others languish in the shadows, but allow all ideas to come to the table and then pick the most innovative, forward - thinking ideas rather that people

when the focus shifts from people to ideas it must naturally follow that a lot of code will start to be open - source in order to take advantage of this shift, this means that rather than meeting market or investor expectations the better companies will focus on improving the way business is carried on at their customers ´

employees will be hired not on the basis of how soon they can fit in but what new, exciting, innovative, useful and productive ideas they can add to the existing structure, how and how much can they contribute to taking the existing structure / the fluxus quo to the next level -

this will also help remove incorrect market valuations on tech stock placing a premium instead innovation with the end user rewarding the best with best-of-wallet.

i think we should not forget that as each year goes by the entry barrier on technology entrepreneurship is lowered as frameworks get increasingly easy to learn and use - companies that continue trying to make innovative ideas hard to come-by, try to kill such ideas or buy it up will over time definitely be retired form the work place along with those that are doing the barrier building to drive stock prices up,

its high time innovation got to be its own reward,
