facebook has definitely turned into a juggernaut, not only does it garner much media real estate buit the figures being linked to it are staggering,

does facebook live up to its hype and is it worth 10 , 15 or 100 Billion USD ?

facebook has the potential to capture a large number of diverse users
a variety of software companies can build web - enabled applications to monetize these users
not all of these companies that depend on facebook to get by will succeed, this is because many facebokk application suppliers will be brilliant 16 year ols that dont care if the app is given away for free
when MSFT was as old as Facebook is today, they did care iof their work was given away for free because they depended on this income
facebook does not depend on this income, facebook connects people and companies to people and vice versa, each then tries to make money of each other
facebook is a multi-level marketing idea / agency that collects a fee for connecting people, this fee is the direct result of the effort of people and companies who use facebook
steve ballmer was right when he said that facebook has not echnological advantage, when MSFT started out they were just one of 3 or 4 that had access to code that could do what they could
this site is a facebook clone
a clone can be created within 15 weeks using 10 good programmers as a team,
the facebook advantage is really greed, which is a trait that can be learnt and cultivated, i therfore predict that facebook is dead in the water
an environment of greed will soon spread within facebook itself and it will not be long bnefore one iof its own employees takes off and does facebook in, this greed has nothing to do with money lone, it is the power motive behind the greed that will undo facebook, unlike an ISP that lets you connect to the whole world if you can afford it, facebook limits you, so it has neither the prowess of an ISP, nor the capabilities of an OS,
remember SKYPE, they were all the rage 24 months ago, now even the ex CEOs next venture is being called out and written off before it has even taken off -
